Amsterdam now has its own ETA hub — a place where buyers, investors, and succession-minded owners come together to share ideas and opportunities. Whether you’re just starting your search or already running a business, this is where the local ETA conversation begins.
Why ETA Amsterdam Exists
When I started exploring Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA), I realised that most resources were written for a US audience. Here in the Netherlands, there was no clear community for first-time buyers or succession-focused owners.
That’s why I created ETA Amsterdam: a space for real conversations, local connections, and practical insights into acquiring and operating small businesses.
What You’ll Get When You Join
Membership gives you access to:
- Invitations to ETA Amsterdam Meetups: live events in the city to connect with peers and advisors.
- Local insights: what works (and what doesn’t) when buying in the Netherlands.
- Introductions to the right people: lawyers, tax advisors, financiers, and other acquirers.
- Weekly insights via the Buyout Diary newsletter: practical tools, case studies, and honest updates from the front lines of ETA.
You'll receive one email per week containing practical insight from the front lines — no spam or hype.
What to Expect
- Cadence: 1–2 events per month (some live in Amsterdam, others online for those outside the city)
- Format: short talk or panel → Q&A → networking / breakout rooms
- Access: email subscribers get early RSVP before public release
- Follow-ups: concise event recaps + slides/tools shared during sessions
- Occasional workshops: deeper dives on governance, seller transition, financing
- Tone: practical, friendly, no pitch-slaps; we value real experiences over theory
- Language: sessions primarily in English (Dutch welcome during networking)
